This past weekend, we had the privilege of attending the Midwest Men Retreat at beautiful Spencer Lake in Wisconsin. Around 26 men gathered together for a powerful time of fellowship, worship, teaching, and ministry.
The theme of the retreat was “Godly Men as Warriors.” In a world where many men are struggling with confusion, fear, isolation, and compromise, this retreat was a reminder that God is still calling men to stand strong in faith, lead with humility, and walk boldly with Jesus Christ.

The guest speaker, Pastor Seth Sobral from Rhode Island, did a phenomenal job teaching throughout the retreat. His messages were clear, challenging, encouraging, and deeply centered on the Kingdom of God. Many hearts were stirred as men were reminded of their identity and purpose in Christ.
I also had the opportunity to briefly teach during one of the workshops and minister with several men during the retreat. One moment especially stood out to us.

A man named Chase made the decision to fully surrender his life to the Lord.

Anthony and I had the honor of walking with him through repentance, water baptism, and praying with him to receive the Holy Spirit. It was a beautiful reminder that Jesus is still transforming lives today. Watching someone step out of darkness and into new life never gets old.
Throughout the retreat, we could sense that God was planting seeds in many hearts. Some seeds were encouragement. Some were conviction. Some were healing. And some were the beginning of completely new lives in Christ.
We are also grateful to Cody, the retreat director, who invited me to return next year as a guest speaker. We are excited to see what God will continue to do through this gathering in the future.
Please continue praying for the men who attended the retreat — that the seeds planted would continue to grow, that families would be strengthened, and that more men would rise up as humble warriors for the Kingdom of God.
God is moving.
