God Opened the Door in Saskatchewan

It has been a joy to watch these two faithful sisters grow in their relationship with Jesus over the past several months. We are thankful God allowed us to encourage them along the way, and it was a blessing to see them help host Saskatchewan's first Deaf revival. Please pray that God will continue to strengthen and use them for His Kingdom.

What an incredible week of ministry!

We drove 29 hours from Texas to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, after being invited to help serve at Healing Hearts Revival 2026. We were excited to see what God would do, but after we arrived, many of the original plans changed at the last minute. We didn't fully understand why God allowed everything to unfold the way it did, but we knew this was His ministry, not ours. So we chose to trust Him and simply be available for whatever He wanted to accomplish.

On our journey north, we briefly stopped at Mount Rushmore in South Dakota and Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota. It was a blessing to enjoy God's beautiful creation before continuing to the work He had prepared for us.

The journey to Saskatchewan was long, but every mile brought us closer to the people God had already prepared for us to meet.

Looking back now, we can clearly see that God had a purpose in bringing us there.

From what we understand, this was Saskatchewan's first Deaf revival, with around 50 Deaf people attending from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. It was such an encouragement to see Deaf believers gathering together with one desire—to seek Jesus Christ.

James and AnnLynn Parker faithfully brought challenging messages throughout the revival. One truth especially stood out: we need to spend more time alone with Jesus. The deeper our relationship with Him becomes, the more we can share what He has personally done in our own lives instead of relying on the testimonies of others. That message challenged and encouraged many of us.

God began opening doors even before the revival officially started. We had opportunities to meet with several people, pray with them, encourage them, and minister to them personally. One of the women we ministered to decided to be baptized, along with two others during the revival. It was a beautiful reminder that God is still changing lives today.

Throughout the week, we watched the Holy Spirit move in powerful ways. Many people experienced God's presence in a real and personal way. Several testified that they were healed from physical conditions. We give all the glory to God for everything He has done!

One thing became very clear during our time in Saskatchewan: there is a great need for more people to share the Gospel with the Deaf community. There are very few Deaf leaders serving there. Yet we are encouraged because for the past six months we have been discipling two Deaf women in Saskatchewan, and we believe God is preparing them for His work. Please pray that He will continue to strengthen, equip, and boldly use them to reach many others for His Kingdom.

One of the greatest blessings of ministry is building relationships and encouraging one another to keep following Jesus.

Every conversation is an opportunity to plant seeds, strengthen faith, and encourage one another in the Lord.

A wonderful evening of fellowship, encouragement, and growing together in Christ. We thank God for every life He allowed us to meet.

God opened many opportunities to encourage, pray with, and share Christ with Deaf brothers and sisters throughout the week.

Please also join us in praying for the Deaf community throughout Saskatchewan—that more workers will answer God's call, that the Gospel will continue to spread, and that many lives will be transformed through Jesus Christ.

It was also a tremendous blessing to meet Deaf brothers and sisters from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Although we were in another country, the warmth, kindness, and fellowship made us feel right at home. Aside from the Canadian flags, it often felt like we were with family. God has truly blessed Canada with wonderful people.

We are so thankful that the Lord led us to Saskatchewan. What began as a trip to help with a revival became an opportunity to witness God moving in lives, strengthening believers, building new relationships, and reminding us once again that His plans are always greater than our own.

We believe this is only the beginning of what God wants to do among the Deaf community in Saskatchewan, and Lord willing, we look forward to returning one day.
