New Doors Open in Jojutla, Mexico — Will These Families Follow Jesus?

After many visits to Jojutla over the years, it was encouraging to reconnect with Mario and Yanet and continue serving together.

June 16–22, 2026 | Jojutla de Juárez, Morelos, Mexico

The summer heat in Jojutla was intense. Temperatures climbed high each day, and after several weeks of traveling throughout Mexico, our team arrived feeling physically exhausted. Yet once again, God reminded us that even in weakness, He continues to open doors.

During our time in Jojutla, Mario introduced us to two families we had never met before.

Praying for healing and sharing the hope found in Jesus with a new family we met for the first time.

The first family included a Deaf husband, his hearing wife, and their daughter. As we sat together, we listened to their struggles and had the opportunity to pray for healing for the sicknesses they were facing. We shared that true healing comes from Jesus Christ and that He alone is our hope. We also spoke about the importance of personally knowing Jesus, not merely knowing about Him. Before leaving, we invited them to join us for fellowship on Sunday.

Later, we visited another home where we met two Deaf sisters for the very first time. We prayed for healing over them as well and shared the Gospel message. Although our visit was brief, we believe God was planting seeds that may one day produce eternal fruit.

We also had the opportunity to pray for another family and share the Gospel message with them.

After many weeks of ministry and constant travel, this stop also provided much-needed rest. We were thankful for the opportunity to spend quality time fellowshipping with Mario and Yanet, encouraging one another and being refreshed before continuing the work.

Even during a week of physical exhaustion, God continued opening opportunities to minister and encourage others.

On Sunday, we gathered together and shared a message that is deeply important: the way we live matters.

On Sunday, we gathered together to study God's Word and encourage believers to continue growing in Christ.

Over the years, we have seen many people respond to the Gospel and be baptized. Sadly, we have also seen some drift away from Christ. Because of this, we felt led to lovingly share biblical warnings and encourage everyone to continue growing in their relationship with Jesus.

We shared biblical encouragement and warnings, reminding everyone that following Jesus involves continual transformation and perseverance.

Following Christ is more than a one-time decision. God desires to transform us day by day so that our thoughts, words, and actions increasingly reflect the character of Christ.

Please pray for the believers in Jojutla—that they would draw near to God, remain faithful, and continue being transformed into the likeness of Jesus.

New relationships have begun. Seeds have been planted. Now we wait expectantly to see what God will do next.
