Glory to God! What a powerful weekend we experienced on April 2–3, 2026, as the Lord opened a mighty door through Zoom.
Nzem Emeka J. graciously invited me to speak at the 2026 Deaf Easter Retreat in Nigeria — and 167 deaf brothers and sisters gathered there, hungry to hear from the Lord. All communicating in American Sign Language, they came ready to encounter Jesus in a fresh way during this special Easter season.
Over those two days I taught on Identity in Christ and the Kingdom of God. We laid aside every false identity — whether rooted in deafness, Deaf culture, sign language, or the struggles of hearing-deaf relationships — and fixed our eyes on the only identity that matters: who we are in Jesus Christ. We discovered that we are not defined by what we can or cannot hear, but by the King who calls us His own.
We also unpacked the beautiful truth that every believer is a representative of the Kingdom of God — chosen, empowered, and sent to carry His presence into the world. The messages were filled with revelation, freedom, and the tangible move of the Holy Spirit.

Of course, we hit a small technical challenge right at the start (Zoom can be unpredictable!), but our faithful God paved the way! He made a clear path for every word to reach the people in Nigeria. The messages came through powerfully, and hearts were touched deeply.
It was absolutely beautiful to watch the Lord move among 167 deaf believers. Many shared how the teaching brought breakthrough, fresh hope, and a deeper hunger for Jesus. What a joy to celebrate Easter by remembering that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is alive in each of us!
None of this was by human strength or clever planning. This was all Jesus. He is the One who overcomes every obstacle. He is the One who speaks straight to hearts — whether in person or across a screen. He is the One who gives His children their true identity and calls them to represent His Kingdom with boldness.
We give all the glory, honor, and praise to our Lord Jesus Christ for what He did on April 2–3 at the 2026 Deaf Easter Retreat in Nigeria. Deaf believers are awakening to who they are in Him, and the Kingdom of God is advancing!
Jesus is moving mightily among the Deaf — and we are so thankful to be part of what He is doing.
All glory to Jesus alone!
